Music Review: Joe – “Psycho”

We remember when we were first starting out covering artist; we started out the same time the Chicago drill scene started. Everyone we got music from was starting out and didn’t know the fine tuning of their sound yet. In a way; that was the rawest form of meeting and finding new music.

That’s the feeling we got when we played a submission from an artist named Joe. His track psycho is like that; a raw track with no mixing just instrumental and vocals. This is what it sounded like back in the day when artist were unpolished and hungry. His track psycho”Psycho” is raw! The lyrics have punch to them and he’s actually got a good flow, it could be developed more but when you hear it you can tell it has potential with the right production team behind it.

Its minimal beat, melodic‑rap blend and candid lyrics place it squarely within modern hip‑hop’s shift toward vulnerability .  The track could benefit from a more varied arrangement and a stronger narrative arc, but the lyrics and repeated hook make it a perfect introduction to Joe.
