LO ‘Nightowls’

Berlin-based songwriter and producer LO shares his emphatic and sonically unique second album ‘Night Owls’, a cosmic journey through electronica, pop & RnB. The album is a triumph of perfectionism, hard work and passion for his craft, exploring new production techniques to push his sound further and explore new horizons.

In the last few years, LO has not only showcased his undeniable musical talent but also his prolific ability to create and his unfathomable work ethic. Since 2015, he’s released on labels such as Cascade Records, Mixmash, Loveless Records and Majestic Casual. His music has also led to support from some of the biggest curators in the scene including The Sound You Need, Eton Messy, The Vibe Guide and DYNMK.

The project ebbs and flows between soulful, RnB-tinged cuts and all out synthwave inspired belters. Opening with the emotively charged first single ‘Blu’, the project soon develops to expose LO’s passion for synth textures in the uniquely hypnotic ‘Lost in A Dream’. Throughout the project, LO incorporates vocoder-drenched vocals as the only consistent throughout an ever-changing project. The album features stunning, two-minute experimentations such as ‘Log Lady’ and ‘0311PM’, which showcase the artist’s raw talent in an unpolished way. ‘Stay’ is a standout track from the album, matching the artists vintage warm synth sounds with an infectious groove. Speaking on the album, LO states:

“Night Owls is my second full length album. With the first written song of this body of work dating back to the beginning of 2018, it’s taken quite a long period of time to get to this point. I Feel that the album’s quality in terms of songwriting and sound design really benefits from this. Written and worked on strictly after dawn, it shows a darker, more melancholic side of LO.“
