Karina Rae ‘Bitch Boy’

After moving to LA and spending time growing, maturing, and reflecting, pop recording artist
Karina Rae is sharing her newest single Bitch Boy. The record shows off a new sound and more
mature side to Karina Rae.
The anthemic pop record features a modernized take on a retro production and highlights
Karina’s playful and emotive vocals as she calls out her past lovers. In the catchy chorus Karina
exclaims, “Why are you so afraid of love? Is it because you’re a bitch boy? So stop being a
bitch boy!”
Karina shares, “I wrote this after experiencing what was the last straw with a very specific breed
of f-boy in LA. I was pretty anti-love and not taking anything too seriously for the past year, but
even this guy had me fed up…so that says something haha! I wouldn’t consider myself a very
angry person anymore, so I think this single pays homage to the inner rager in me while also
having a fun, light and let-loose type of feel to it. I just want the listener to be able to dance and
put the blame on the bitch boy, rather than themselves.”
Karina Rae’s song came to life after meeting a group of musicians that she connected with
instantly. She shares, “I met a group of USC students last year, expecting to just get some help
instrumentally. What I ended up getting was a wonderful new group of friends, and also creative
partners. They completely changed the way I viewed the process of creating music, and the
way this came to life has been the most fun I’ve ever had while making a song.”
