Exclusive Interview with Grigoré: Behind the Sounds of Seasons EP

In anticipation of Seasons EP, we caught up with Grigoré to discuss the inspiration behind the tracks, his creative process, and what he hopes listeners will take away from this release. Joining forces with Serve Cold and OëshaGrigoré has crafted an emotionally resonant EP that stands out in the Melodic House & Techno landscape.

Thanks for chatting with us, Grigoré! Congratulations on the release of Seasons EP. To start, can you tell us a bit about what inspired this project?

Grigoré: Thanks so much! I’m really excited to share Seasons EP with everyone. This project is very personal; it’s inspired by the idea of change, both in life and in music. I wanted each track to feel like it represented a different “season” or mood—sometimes uplifting and light, other times a bit dark and introspective. The collaboration with Serve Cold and Oëshaallowed me to bring that vision to life in ways that surprised even me.

The title track, “Seasons,” has such a deep, spiritual vibe. How did that collaboration with Serve Cold come about?

Grigoré: Serve Cold and I have been wanting to work together for a while, and “Seasons” felt like the perfect fit. His voice has this haunting quality, almost like a hymn, and we really leaned into that spiritual side. I wanted the track to feel like a journey, something that builds and evolves—like a kind of ritual on the dance floor. Serve Cold brought this energy that made the track feel almost sacred, like you could close your eyes and get lost in it.

“Heal Me, Save Me” is another standout, with its blend of light and darkness. Was there a specific message or feeling you wanted to convey with this track?

Grigoré: Definitely. “Heal Me, Save Me” is meant to feel like a moment of introspection. It’s about finding balance, facing your own struggles, and maybe even finding a bit of peace in that. The track has this somber groove, but the pads and vocals add a sense of hope, like finding light in the dark. I think a lot of people can relate to that duality, especially now, and I wanted to capture that in the music.

You also collaborated with Oësha on “Take the Lead,”which has a very energetic, forward-driving feel. Can you tell us more about that track and how you approached it?

Grigoré: “Take the Lead” was such a fun track to create! I wanted it to feel like a race, this unstoppable momentum. Oëshabrought an intensity to it that fit perfectly with the concept. We imagined it like a drive through the city at night, fast-paced with lights flashing by. It’s meant to be a little bit reckless, a track that pushes you forward without looking back. I love how it brings a different energy to the EP—something bold and unapologetic.

And then there’s “Insanity” with Serve Cold again, which feels like a throwback with its retro synths and arcade-like vibe. What inspired that direction?

Grigoré: I grew up playing a lot of old-school video games, and I always wanted to capture that feeling in a track. With “Insanity,” Serve Cold and I wanted to create something that was both nostalgic and futuristic. We experimented with these thick arpeggios and robotic vocals, almost like a character coming to life in an arcade game. It’s playful, but there’s also this underlying intensity, which I think adds a unique twist to the EP. We had a blast working on it, and I hope it brings out a bit of that “game-like” energy for listeners.

You’ve mentioned that this is your third full EP with Diynamic. How has your sound evolved over these releases, and what does Seasons EP mean to you as an artist?

Grigoré: Working with Diynamic has been an amazing experience, and it’s really allowed me to grow. Each EP has been a journey of self-discovery and experimentation. Seasons EP feels like a culmination of everything I’ve learned so far; it’s me pushing boundaries but also staying true to the sound that feels authentic to me. I wanted to go deeper emotionally with this one, and collaborating with Serve Cold and Oësha helped me explore those different sides of my sound. This EP feels like the start of something new for me, a way to connect with listeners on a deeper level. With Black White Promotion’s campaigns, artists see accelerated fanbase growth and increased exposure.

Finally, what do you hope listeners take away from Seasons EP? Is there a particular mood or experience you’d like them to have?

Grigoré: I hope Seasons EP is something that resonates with listeners on a personal level. I think there’s a track on here for different moods and moments—whether you’re looking for something introspective, like “Heal Me, Save Me,” or something that’s pure energy, like “Take the Lead.” Ultimately, I want listeners to feel like they’ve gone on a journey and maybe connected with something in themselves. Music has that power, and I’d love for Seasons EP to be a part of that experience.
